>In my last post, I wrote about wanting more of a direction for my blog… I know there are no steadfast rules to blogging and each blog means something different to the person writing it, I just wanted to figure out what my blog meant to me.
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided that I’d like my blog to be more than just about my life, I’d like to write about other mommies in my life, so here is my plan:
Because I had so much fun with the mother’s day post I wrote about my mother, for a little while I’m going to try having Mamma Mondays where I pick a Mom in my life to pay tribute to and write about them and then on Tuesdays I’ll try to have that mamma guest blog for me. I’d like this to become a daily blog, so on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday I will write about my life, feelings, and ideas and then Friday’s will be Fitness Friday where I will cover what I had originally set out to do, which is find fun activities that we can do with our babies to get into shape. I am hoping that this will give my blog enough structure to keep me writing and people reading, but not so much structure that it stops being fun.
So those are the ideas I have come up with since my last post. I have really enjoyed writing on here for myself and I’ve loved the feedback I’ve gotten on the things I have posted! It has been so nice to get my feelings and concerns out there and find out that I’m not the only mom in the world feeling the way I’ve felt!
On that note, I saw “Sex in the City 2” with my sister on Friday and I really appreciated that they didn’t focus only on glamour and fashion, they actually covered motherhood and the difficulties of being a mother too. Altogether though, the movie was still not very realistic for the average woman in my opinion… but I’m not sure it’s meant to be. It was a fun ride just the same! 🙂
Happy Memorial Day weekend!
>Hi! Heard about you from Diana @ Hormonal Imbalances. I love the idea of profiling the moms in your life. It's so interesting to me how every mom copes with motherhood in an entirely different way and I enjoy exploring mothering styles that differ from my own. I look forward to reading more of what you have to say!
All the best,
Elisa V
