So much for Fitness Friday this week…

>So I think I fail at my 1st Fitness Friday considering it is nearly the end of the day and I am just starting this post and I have nothing fitness related to share!  Sorry!  My husband and I are putting our house up on the market in an effort to downsize and simplify and today the photographer came to take photos for the listing (which I found out was going to happen at about 5pm yesterday evening) so, probably needless to say, I was a little frazzled this morning!

I ran around trying to de-clutter and clean as much as I could before his scheduled 1pm arrival… and just as I was winding down and putting Dylan down for his nap about 40 minutes before he was supposed to arrive (I was mentally patting myself on the back at this point) he knocked on the door, which sent my dog -who had been laying down next to me and the sleeping baby I was about to set down in the crib- into a barking frenzy killing any hopes I had of getting Dylan to take his nap 🙁

Anyway, I answered the door, let him in, and ran back upstairs to at least attempt to put Dylan to sleep, which of course didn’t happen.  I then just tried to stay out of his way as best I could until he was done.  So then on his way out the door he asked if I had been expecting him… FIRST of all, he knew he was early – the first thing out of his mouth was an apology for being early, SO I can only guess that his question had something to do with the my disheveled appearance.  So my only question is: does this seem like professional behavior to anyone?  Because it seems pretty unprofessional to me to show up 40 minutes early at someone’s home and then have the nerve to hint that they didn’t seem prepared…

Anyway, needless to say, I’m officially moving the start of my Fitness Friday to next week and I’m starting the weekend early!  TGIF!!

    >::throatpunch:: What is WRONG with people in this business? Why must everyone show up early?

That is incredibly rude and annoying. Even more so because he hinted YOU weren't prepared for him.

About me

Hello and welcome.  It’s been a while.  For Lent this year I decided to fast from the thing that took too much of my attention from what is truly important: Social Media.  Though there are countless amazing benefits to Social Media, after about a month offline so far, there are seemingly just as many negatives.  I never realized how much of my brain had been hijacked by it.  I’ve had so many revelations about how much easier it is to move forward when I’m not constantly reminded of the past.  But I still want to record my family as they grow at this ridiculous speed and, I’m realizing, so many of our family’s memories are here.  Those along with so many of the struggles and stages we’ve worked through.  Maybe in the midst of COVID19 isolation and my kids around me so often, I’m brought back to a time when they were too young for school and with me so often.  Writing here during that time helped make up for the limited adult conversation in my days and the overwhelm provided by my… little treasures 😉 My husband, fur babies, three fiesty kids, and I hereby extend an invitation to visit this little sneak peak into our life. We’re super flawed and broken and there aren’t too many dull moments around here.  And I promise it’s not always as magical as some of my golden hour, sun-soaked images would suggest.  There’s usually too much coffee in my system and we welcome all the prayers.  Come on over if you want to process with me.
