Happy Fourth of July!
I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful extended weekend as much as I am. In addition to a holiday, this weekend was full of celebration with Hubby’s mom’s retirement and my mom’s birthday. We have spent most of this weekend socializing and decompressing, following a busy couple of weeks (Hubby just started a new job).
Saturday, while lounging by my parents’ pool, breastfeeding Little Man, I asked Hubby to take a picture of us. I recently decided I need a more up to date picture of him nursing because the only pictures I have are newborn ones and I never want to forget the pure joy I still feel every.single.time.
I love this country so much. We are a country of freedom where everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and to share that opinion freely and openly as long as it does not cause harm to anyone else.
Today, as I post this picture, I am thankful that I am free to share my opinions. I am thankful that, though many people do not share in my feelings on extended breastfeeding, I can post a modest breastfeeding picture on my blog and no one can force me to take it down. I am not imposing that belief on anyone else, but simply sharing a picture of an act I find beautiful and posting it for anyone else who feels the same way to view. It is not a statement against those who do not feel the same way; just an exercise in appreciation of the freedoms we have been granted by the USA.
God bless America.
Beautiful picture! Happy 4th!
Thank you! 🙂 I hope you had a great weekend!
