Unquestionably, today I felt more anxious and excited than I have in a long time. I texted my sister earlier and likened it to Christmas morning as a child.
This morning, after dropping Dylan off at preschool, the three of us headed over to Firstview Ultrasound in Greenwood Village, where my mom met us, to find out the gender of our baby at 15 weeks on the dot. Only, we had no intention of actually finding out until later in the day.
Let me tell you, knowing the gender of our baby was on the screen and not looking was very hard!
The technician had us close our eyes and found the gender first. Then we got to see the other tiny parts of our precious little one.
Honestly, I’ve spent the past few months convincing myself that my intuition was wrong. I kept calling the baby she, but was convinced I’m a boy mom. So without further adieu, let me share the news!!
GIRL!!!!!
Can you tell I was a little shocked?? Dylan was celebrating that he guessed correctly. He screamed, “I WAS RIGHT!!!”.
Today was a very fun day and I owe my mommy a HUGE thank you for baking this awesome cake. It was certainly not a calm day for her.
I am also so thankful for my amazing friend/sister Ashley from Ashley Henry Photography for taking these beautiful shots! She did me the huge favor of shooting with my camera so I could edit and post them ASAP.
Thank you for sharing this very exciting day with us!!!
