As you all now know, Andy and I are moving across the country, but I’m not sure I mentioned just how quickly this is all happening. Andy starts his new job on July 12th and we are trying to be moved out of our house by then (sold or not)… eek! So needless to say, we have a lot to do in very little time!
For those of you who are shocked, you clearly don’t know us personally… we do everything at lightning speed. We met, got engaged ninne months later, and then married nine months after that… so within 18 months of meeting, we were married and living a four hour plane ride from where we both grew up. We then waited exactly one year before conceiving our first child AND NOW we will be moved back to the north east within six months of his birth. PHEW, exhausted yet? I am! 🙂
Anyway, because we want to move so quickly, we need to line up an apartment to move, so I am currently in the DC metro area for the weekend. We did one of those last minute Travelocity weekend packages to get Dylan and me here… yes, we left dad on his first Father’s Day 🙁 I’m a terrible wife, I know! I’m sorry Andy! We love and miss you!
So Happy Father’s day to the most wonderful father (other than our fathers of course!) and husband in the world!! You are a hard working, loving, strong, peaceful, wonderful man and I am so blessed to have you in my life! I hope our little boy is just like you! XXXOOO!
And to my daddy – You are the definition of an amazing father! You guided me and told me I deserved the world. You showed me what a father and husband should look like so that I knew him when I met him. You didn’t spoil me and call me a little princess, but instead gave me SO MUCH love and taught me… really TAUGHT me… and I have so much love and respect for the man you are. I am SO THRILLED to be moving back closer to you so that my son gets to have lots of Poppy time! I wish I DC was a little closer to you still so this weekend trip could include spending time with you. I hope you’re relaxing on your special day! MWA!
